How many M&Ms does it take to get a toddler to snuggle with her baby sister? Well in this case it was a few...and only the blue ones. Just before Christmas I got to come into the home of this family and meet the new little sister. Big sis was cautious and inquisitive requiring that she also help with the photos. I of course happily obliged...my camera has been held by quite a few two year olds;) Now having a sister of my own and witnessing my own two girls bond, I wanted to squeeze her and promise her that her sister was about to be better than blue M&Ms. Obviously, two year old's do not understand that.
Her and her sister were born into a family where their heritage is valued and it was an honor to photograph a piece of that. They chose to incorporate traditional Nigerian attire that had been tailored by a relative. I appreciated hearing about where their families have originated, their many travel adventures and how they are excited to raise their girls. Thanks to baby R's beautiful family for letting me in during this time and next time big sis, I will bring some more M&Ms:)
